Questions for Camper: Jeff
Hi! I’m Jeff (on the right) and I’ve been a camper at TLW for 6 years. I’m pictured here with Josh who is one of my best friends from camp. When I’m not at camp, I am on my school’s varsity volleyball team and I have a music show on my school’s radio station. I enjoy being with my friends, taking pictures, and watching movies. I will be returning to camp this upcoming summer as a junior counselor for both sessions. I am really looking forward to experiencing camp from another perspective. I feel that starting out as a camper at Timber Lake West will help me be a successful counselor because I understand what it’s like to be a camper here at this special place.
1) What is the number #1 thing you love most about camp?
The #1 thing I love most about camp is the independence that you have there – It’s a place where you can truly be yourself.
2) What was the funniest thing that happened to you at camp?
The funniest thing that happened to me was when our raft got stuck during the white water rafting trip. We weren’t moving at all and yet water was ripping by everywhere!
3) What is your favorite memory from last summer?
My favorite memory was participating in the ‘Best Duo’ contest with my friend, Josh. The best duo contest is such a great memory because I remember being a younger camper looking up to the older kids and seeing them always win best duo. As I grew up at camp with Josh from summer to summer, I saw that being at camp together with a really great friend really makes you become close and true life-long friends. Finally, Josh and I became the oldest campers at camp and participating in (and by the way, tying for 1st place!) the best duo contest put the finishing touch on our history as friends at TLW.
4) Describe camp using only 3 words:
Fun, friendship & happiness.
5) What are you most looking forward to doing this summer?
Seeing camp from the perspective of a counselor!
