Staying Connected

Your children are anxiously awaiting your letters.   To speed the process, please address the envelopes as follows:

You may email your child at camp via your CampInTouch Account. We print out email daily and distribute them with the regular mail. E-mails received before 9:00 am will be distributed in the same days, daily mail call. Campers are not allowed to send email.  Please remember that campers love receiving “regular mail.” 

Through your CampInTouch Account, you may designate additional family members and friends the ability to email your children.  Click on “Guest Accounts” to set this up.

All campers will be allowed to make one phone call to their parents (divorced parents, please call the office directly) during their stay at camp. Campers will call in the at the end of the first week of each session.  All calls will be made from 6:30-8:00pm.  You will be notified prior to the summer of your campers pre-scheduled calling date.

In an interest in placing the emphasis in camp on activities and friendships, we have eliminated packages.  Books, magazines and stationary are fine to send as long as it is sent in a flat envelope.

We must insist that you not send ANY packages to camp. IF THERE IS A SPECIAL NEED, PLEASE SPEAK WITH THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SENDING THE ITEM. We will not be accepting packages that are not in a FLAT envelope; all other packages will be refused and sent back to the shipper. We reserve the right to check all incoming packages. Please help us by alerting all friends and relatives.

We know that Birthdays are VERY important to you and your child and they’re equally important to us!  We want to make it as HUGE as possible for the birthday girl or boy.

If your child has a birthday while at camp…

• The entire camp will sing our special TLW birthday song at morning lineup!
• We offer a birthday party menu where campers get to select a themed event, complete with BIRTHDAY CAKE with their bunk mates.  Campers will have the opportunity to select between a variety of themed parties which may include:
  • Pool Party
  • “Wheels” themed birthday complete with go-karting
  • Special Arts & Crafts
  • Color War
  • Alternative themes created based on request and availability
    
• Our special birthday camper will have a phone call with you. We ask that you schedule the time in advance similar to regular phone calls.
• On their birthday, campers are allowed to receive a Birthday Package (please no food/candy or bunk gifts).  Please write “Birthday Package” on it and we will hold it in the office until we deliver it on your camper’s birthday!
